the sweater itself is fairly static-y straight out of the box, something that can be solved if run through a wash cycle by hand with some fabric softener or worn with a thin tank top. It also seems to run small, since the person I bought this for normally wears clothing XL and I purchased a XXL, so I would recommend sizing up upon purchase, especially if you plan to wear something underneath it to counter the itching. that said, it's a wonderful sweater
